Gimme! Gimme! Gimme!-A blog after bloggish!

All new bloggers, listen up!

If you are looking to start a blog, or if you are a brand new blogger, here are some tips on how to start a blog.

Step 1-Find a blogging service

Ok, we’ve all heard of blogger and wordpress, right? Those are two popular blogging services. I recommend wordpress, because for blogger, you need a gmail account, which is also giving you email. If you don’t want an email account, wordpress is the best to choose.

Step 2-Your domain

You’ve all heard of domains right. They’re like .com, .net, .org etc. If you choose wordpress.com/blogspot.com, (depending on what you’re using) they’re FREE! You can also personalize your blog’s name (like bloggerofthebloggish).

Step 3-Customize and personalize

I don’t know how many themes are in blogger, but in wordpress, there are around 293 themes to choose from. You can also choose headers for your blog and change colours. But BEWARE! Some features cost money.

Step 4-Posts

Now that you’ve customized your blog to your liking, time to post! You have 2 options about where to post:

  1. Using wordpress/blogger
  2. Using live writer

If you want to set up your blog in writer, find a button that says “set up your blog in writer”. You can write posts to your liking and unlock new smileys. (RainbowCat faceDog faceLeft hug…) If you choose wordpress or blogger, you can’t get those features. On writer, you can “split” a post. This means you can put a “read more” link for your readers.

Step 5-Final edits

Now that we’ve gone through the basics, you can now edit or recustomize your blog.

Hope this guide was helpful! (BTW, thanks for reading!) Hope you enjoyed! Cat faceRainbow
