Ok, I am TOTALLY CRAZY about history…and I’m introducing…

So, here’s how it works. I will put up 5 options for you to choose. All of them will be famous people in history. Using the comments, you can select A, B, C, D, or E and tell us why you would select that person for HFOTW. The poll will close on Wednesdays, 4:29PM. Any votes submitted after the deadline will not be counted. If there is a tie, then the 2 winners will be putted into another poll. Entries are given from Fridays-Wednesdays and the winner(s) will be revealed on Thursdays. There will be a draw for this week, but you need to be quick, ‘cause you have until Wednesday. Here are our contestants: (I’ll try to post different ones each week! Open-mouthed smile)

A) Joan of Arc
B) Owain Glyndwr
C) Henry VIII
D) William I (or William the Conquer)
E) Oliver Cromwell

So…those are our contestants. You cannot vote twice or say insults about other contestants, otherwise you will be excluded from the polls for 1 year. Don’t forget to vote! Hope you enjoyed!Cat faceRainbow

I am a girl from England, who likes to blog. I suffer from lightheadedness and stomach cramps, and I have an anxiety disorder. Bloggish has been running for over 3 years, and it is the place where I vent or just talk about my life. I usually post about once or twice a month, so don't expect much from me. Chaio! (This is not misspelled on purpose, I actually thought that's how ciao was spelt, so you will have to live with that, don't worry, I'm a grammar nazi too ;) ) ~bloggerofthebloggish :)

  1. I vote for D, William the Conqueror. His actions influenced and led to everything done by everyone else on the list. Without him, the others would either not have been born at all (Henry VIII) or would not have done the things that made them famous in the first place. Joan would not have had an English army to face, Owain would not have had Henry III to oppose in Wales, and Cromwell would not have had Charles the first to fight (there probably would have not have been an English Civil War in the first place). So William had an effect on everything that happened after him, so he should be the first ‘Historical Figure of the Week’. Thank you.
